Aw: Tropical wet and dry; savanna (grasslands with widely-spaced trees)
BSh: Hot Semiarid; low-latitude steppe
BSk: Semiarid; mid-latitude steppe
BWh: Hot and dry; low-latitude desert
BWk: Semiarid; mid-latitude desert
Csa: Dry subtropical/Mediterranean; rainy winters; mediterranean shrub
Cfa: Humid subtropical; hot, muggy summers, mild winters; broadleaf deciduous forest
Cfb: Marine; wet all seasons, moderate winters; mixed broadleaf deciduous and needleleaf evergreen forest
Cfc: Marine; wet all seasons, severe winters; needleleaf evergreen forest
Dfa: Continental moist; wet all seasons, moderate winters, warm summers; broadleaf deciduous forest
Dfb: Continental moist; wet all seasons, moderate winters, cool summers; mixed broadleaf deciduous and needleleaf evergreen forest
Dfc: Subarctic; wet all seasons, severe winters, cool summers; needleleaf evergreen forest
ET: Polar Tundra; no summer; no forests
H: Highland; similar to surrounding climate, but cooler as elevation increases, starting at about 1500 m. Tends to be wetter on the windward side.
